About Aiden Wilson

Aiden Wilson is a virtual production and broadcast graphics specialist working across Unreal Engine, augmented reality, real-time rendering and live production workflows.

He started in traditional film and TVCs before moving into animation, VFX and Unreal Engine as virtual production began to grow in 2019. After working on commercial, animated and technical productions in Brisbane, he moved into larger international projects across broadcast, sports and live events.

Aiden is currently Technical Lead of Virtual Production at Girraphic, where he helps design, build and deliver Unreal-based AR graphics, virtual production systems and real-time tools for live broadcast. His work has included projects for Netflix, ESPN, Prime Video, Fox Sports, DAZN, UFC and ITV, with credits across live boxing, NFL coverage, virtual analysis tools, XR productions, LED volume work and on-air augmented graphics.

This blog is where he documents the practical side of that work: Unreal Engine workflows, AR and tracking setups, broadcast graphics, Rive, CasparCG, OBS, NDI, SDI, automation and the occasional hard-won production lesson.
