Simple nDisplay Setup in Unreal 5.6

| 1 min read

A tutorial about a really simple nDisplay setup in Unreal engine 5.6 using a single tracked camera and a single PC to render the scene. We will also look at why you want to use the displayport output on the GPU instead of SDI and some really simple tricks to squeeze more performance out of your scenes.

I've been asked alot since making my orginal nDisplay tutorial for 4.27 i've been asked if I could make another one. Although the nDisplay setup process really hasn't changed much since that 4.27 video I figured it would be worth it to create a new one for googles sake. (alot of my youtube traffic still comes from google searches)

One thing I have been keen on is more advanced nDisplay setups. Such as the one we did at NAB in 2024:

This involved a more common setup using a Mosys Star Tracker as well as 3 engines in sync and represents the mroe common LED wall approch.

Of course this isn't even getting close to the new more advanced workflows using the Nvidia mellanox NICs and 2110 IP video stuff. But until I have an LED studio to call my own that will forever sit on the back burner.
